The client is a single folder. No install and nothing to configure. It already knows where to find us.

On Linux or Mac?

No problem. The client is built for Windows, but we make sure every build runs perfectly under Wine. We test it ourselves before each release. Grab the same download, run it through Wine, and you are in.

Getting in

1. Unzip the folder anywhere you like
2. Open da-swm.exe
3. Make a character, or log in if you already have one
4. You wake up in the Mileth Inn. Welcome back.

The client connects to our server on its own. There is nothing to type in.

Your first steps

• Fight the mice in the inn. Spacebar swings your fists.
• Walk into Mileth. Talk to the shopkeepers and poke around the buildings.
• Find the crypt in the northeast corner of town. The stairs go down, and so does your survival rate.
• Spend your gold. Shops sell gear and potions, and banks hold what you cannot carry.

Good to know

• Your character lives on our server, so your progress is safe between sessions.
• The world is the old Dark Ages map, rebuilt. If a door or a warp looks wrong, tell us.
• These are early days. Expect rough edges, and expect them to get smoother.
